Ideal location and the food was outstanding. Good beds, central heating, an iron/ironing board and a work desk were a nice touch. Walking distance to the main shopping centre and the markets across the street. All in all an old-fashioned hotel and fine stay.

We really enjoyed the secluded location and how clean the place was kept. Found in a lovely area. Cheese, cereals, eggs, hot waffles and yoghourt were cheap and complemented the English breakfast. The main bar in the hotel had a wide range of branded tea and coffee throughout the day.

Air conditioner was inefficient; awful views.

We had a very good 3-star experience here. The hotel had a central location and it was within walking distance of Quad. A market and the main shopping centre were right next door.

Everything was lovely from the superb service to the awesome food. The room itself was double superior, absolutely spotless and had the things we needed. The staff did all they can for a good stay. The location was prime and the staff here was best.

The staff were extra polite and breakfast was delicious. The room we stayed in was fairly quiet and functional. Stunningly beautiful views and adequate facilities. Perfect location to York's Chocolate Story. Really enjoyable stay overall.

you can eat at jaipur spice, which is set 200 metres away from the property. we greatly enjoyed staff and breakfast.
